this was a weird story to read. shiftlet picked up a girl at a house in georgia. an old lady was takin care of lucynell who is deaf and blind. she is a smart girl though and knows to work. shiftlet marries her and end up fixing the house and a car for the old lady. he eventually keeps the car for fixing it up if he will marry lucynell. after marrying lucynell he leaves her at the hot spot with some food and heads to Mobile. on his way to mobile he picks up a boy who hates his mom. well shiftlet irritates the little boy and makes him jump out of the car. shiftlet is in a shock and jus left the boy with the door open to the car. he eventually shuts the door and continues toward mobile. the story has no point to me. i feel like i wasted 10 minutes of my life reading a story that makes no sense. he married a girl and left her then picked up a boy who jumps out of his car because he is talking about how his mom was so lovely. i can agree that my mom is very lovely too. i like her and she takes great care of me and our family along with my dad. i dont really know how to connect to this because it was just a story with a point i didnt get i guess.
